As we rush toward Thanksgiving and Christmas our children continue to participate in many extracurricular activities which keep Mom and Dad very busy! Since we last posted on this blog Darien pulled the tendon in his left foot which has kept him out of commission for three weeks and it will take a few weeks more before he's finally healed. But as active as Darien is, it hasn't slowed him down much. He's not been able to participate in his first love, Tang Soo Do, but he's attended nearly every session since then. He's itching to get back to it. Sami starts up her second year of dance on the school's dance team. This year she's on A team, which should be more exciting and challenginf for her. Dakota started up gymnastics once a week and seems to enjoy it. He attends the same gym Sami does for her gymnastics. And Jeremy is starting up his third year of wrestling. Although Jeremy enjoys the sport and does very well sometimes I think he enjoys the travel associated with all the meets that take the team all over Europe. Last month work took me to Rota, Spain located on the southern coast of Spain. I took Debbie along with me (without Children, yipee!) and we had a good time. We explored the town, Spanish culture, Spanish restuaruants; another costal town not far across the Mediterranean from Rota; and Valencia, the third largest city in Spain, a coastal city on the Mediterranean on the Eastern Spanish coast. Of course those barrels you see above are containers of wine...it was tour that was part of a staff ride included with the conference which paid for our travel to Spain

Sounds like a fun trip, was the wine tasting included? :)
Melodie
It was offered but we went with just smelling the different varieties and eating the nonalcoholic snacks
